My HP laptop battery lasts 2 hours. What options do I have for when I'm in a place where there is no outlets?

what if I'm on a 6-hour bus trip? Can I get a longer-lived power supply or something?

if your useing windows vista then click on the little picutre of the battery in the lower right corner and click power save if your not if you have a dv1000 dv4000 dv5000 v2000 v4000 v5000 dv2000 dv6000 v3000 or v6000 you can get a 12 cell battery which lasts twice as long probaly more because yours might jsut be old

use power saving techniques like reducing screen brightness, contrast , muting /decreasing volume, etc. Carry extra battery packs and if you are using it for stuff like only istening to music, turn off the display.
